The AI Act: timeline (March update)

My March AI Act update: 5 Technical Meetings & 1 Shadows scheduled in the European Parliament for the next four weeks.

In total, twelve compromise batches have been discussed at technical level. Still parked are certain newly proposed Articles (e.g. Trustworthy AI, AI literacy), most Recitals & some Annexes. We are getting closer to a political deal but some key obstacles remain. To name a few: definition of AI, classification of high-risk, prohibitions in Art 5, ANNEX III, FRIA, Sustainability Assessment, AI Office, enforcement or GPAI.
