The AI Act: timeline (February update)

My February AI Act update: 3 Technical Meetings & 2 Shadows scheduled by the European Parliament for the end of January until mid-February.

In total, 11 Compromise Amendments (CA) batches have been discussed at technical level. Batch #1 is fully approved - rest is pending. Still parked (among others) are most Recitals, Art 3 (including AI definition), 43, and ANNEX 1-3.

Vote prediction: my guess for the plenary vote was since the start of the political negotiation something in March 2023. Due to the number of open points & lawyer-linguist review & translation, I am however currently expecting a slight delay: committee vote in March and plenary vote in April.
